The IoT ( Internet of Things ) or Internet of objects brings together objects and equipment connected (to the Internet) and the technologies (largely networks and software) relating to them, and by extension the universality of everything that can be connected via the Internet network to receive and/or transmit data. The IoT is considered Web 3.0, the generalization of the Internet and its connected uses.

Any object that can connect to an open network on the Internet is potentially a connected object. It is in its uses that it finds its usefulness, uses defined by embedded programs, algorithms, or by remote solutions on servers (in the cloud) which receive information from objects, sensors for example, store, analyze them, process them, and possibly automate actions that are sent back to the objects.
